STRESS MAPS
Anticipate Your Turf Stress
After every drone flight, your course receives an updated Turf Score that analyzes every square inch of turf, classifying it into four distinct stress groups. These groups are represented by specific colors on stress maps, offering an intuitive visual aid for identifying areas that require attention. The color-coded system simplifies the process of pinpointing potential issues, often revealing turf stress before it becomes visible to the naked eye.
The stress maps cover all areas, from greens to fairways, tee boxes, and rough, allowing superintendents to focus on targeted interventions.
It’s important to note that there is no “perfect” Turf Score. Instead, the system provides actionable insights by breaking down turf health into stress groups, empowering course managers to take the right action at the right time. This approach ensures that decisions regarding watering, mowing, or other maintenance practices are based on real-time data, improving turf health and optimizing playing conditions.
Regular updates from each drone flight offer ongoing insights that allow for dynamic adjustments as conditions change, ensuring long-term turf vitality. The Turf Score system facilitates not only immediate responses to turf stress but also long-term strategic planning, helping superintendents track trends and proactively manage the course to prevent future problems and sustain the quality of the playing surfaces year-round.
Know every detail about your golf course.
Scores
Each hole is scored in four sections: Tees, Rough, Fairways, and Greens. With each score for each section, you can track progress and changes with each drone flight. Make factual based decisions from your Turf Score. Whether you fly your course once a day or once per week, you can see the progress of each detail.
NDVI
NDVI is used to quantify vegetation greenness and is useful in understanding vegetration density and assessing changes in plant and turf health. NDVI is calculated as a ration between two specific bands: red and near infrared. Our multispectral drones fly your course and collect the NDVI data and our custom built software interprets the values and combined with other values, your Turf Score is generated.
Measurements
When we do our initial onboarding flight, we assess, measure, and generate exact measurements of the total golf course area, tees, rough, greens, fairways, bunkers, etc. You will have your total nature preserve area, water management area, and total cart path measurements. This data is extremely valuable for renovations, changes, and routine maintenance.
